Georgia-based truck Customs take the already extreme Ford F-650s and make them even more extreme
A Ford F-150 full-size is more than enough pickup for almost everyone, but then again truck ownership isn't based entirely on necessity. For those who want to work or play a little harder, an F-250 Super-duty is perfect. Then, there are those that have to push things to the extreme, who skip right over the F-450 and go straight to the mutha of all trucks and get a gargantuan F-650.
The Ford F-650 is almost a semi, only with a truck bed. Actually, they can be configured as flatbeds, loaders, or even dump trucks. Equipped with either a 6.7L Power Stroke V-8 turbo diesel or a 7.3L V-8 gasoline engine, these monsters are made for hauling trailers and mauling trails. Still, there is that rare breed for whom this is not enough.
Chris Walker and George Stickler from Truck Customs, in Augusta, Georgia are licensed Ford upfitters, with a particular love for the F-650. They build around 50 custom 650s a year for clients and would be more than happy to make one for you too. These however aren't average custom jobs, but extreme makeovers that push design and engineering to the limits. Some of their craziest builds also push fun to excess, and it's not necessary to be a truck person to appreciate them.

Describing something big or extreme as being that thing on steroids is an overused trope, but in the case of this 2016 Ford F-650, it is entirely appropriate. If there were a gym and performance-enhancing drugs for pickups, this custom build would be the result. Instead, Truck Customs packed this beast with all the muscle and definition it needs to be the Mr. Universe of trucks.
With a 6.7L Power Stroke V-8 turbo diesel engine, this extreme red super truck makes 270 horsepower with an astounding 700 pound-feet. of torque. That low-end power means this baby can haul 29,000 pounds like it was nothing. Complete with a chrome grill and front bumper, as well as custom ADRENALINE skirts and a leather interior, it's as beautiful as it is strong.
It's a given the roads and trails alike fear this 2013 Truck Customs Extreme 4x4 Ford F-650. Not only is it packed with unholy power, but the black and chrome facade also makes it look downright evil. The chrome exhaust stacks punctuate the 650's status as the thing that haunts the dreams of all surfaces, paved or unpaved.
In an M. Night Shyamalan horror movie twist, this fearsome 4x4 is also a dump truck. No seriously, the truck bed lifts in case you need to dump a load of gravel while you're tearing up the rugged outdoors. In another unexpected detail, the interior is pure luxury with leather seats, wood grain dash, and brushed aluminum accents.
Darryl Gwynn was a top drag racer in the 1980s, but after an unfortunate accident, he was paralyzed. Not one to wallow in self-pity, he created the Darryl Gwynn Foundation to find a cure for paralysis, prevent spinal cord injuries, and help paralyzed people. This Ford F-650 was donated by the Ford Motor Company, customized by Truck Customs, and auctioned off for his charity.
Since Darryl Gwynn was a drag racer, this truck was turned into essentially a drag truck. With a Ford 6.8-liter V-10 Triton engine and a rear spoiler, this truck was made for straight-line fun. The custom hood and bevy of sponsor stickers give it even more of a race car feel. All the proceeds from the sale of this amazing drag truck went to help an even more amazing cause.
If the U.S. had given some of these Truck Custom Brute Force Ford F-650s to the Ukraine military, they would have surely run the Russians back to the Kremlin by now. With an aggressive lift, this all-terrain civilian ride looks like a proper armored personnel carrier. The only thing missing is a mounted M240B heavy machine gun, but then it probably wouldn't be street-legal.
The extra cab and capped bed provide plenty of space to transport soldiers or an entire youth soccer team. The mounted utility boxes and roof rack add extra storage for equipment, whether it be athletic or of a military nature. Like all Truck Custom builds, the Brute Force's rugged exterior is countered by a plush and luxurious interior, because even warriors appreciate a little comfort.

Nothing says patriotism or screams "USA!" like an over-the-top American-made custom pickup truck. With Truck Custom's Truckin' 4 Troops Ford F-650 build, it's more than just a stunning visual statement as this truck is made to serve wounded veterans and their families. In reality, this pick-up is a 15-passenger handicap-accessible bus.
Truckin' 4 Troops is a nonprofit organization that organizes events like cookouts, bonfires, and boating trips. Their stated goal is, "to get the wounded and their families out of the hospital for well-needed rehabilitation." They have several of these custom F-650s and use them to transport extended-stay wounded vets at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland to fun morale-boosting events.
Cannon Energy is a Florida-based energy drink company. When they launched a new sugar-free brand, Kapoya Energy, they needed something that would catch consumers' attention and nothing turns heads like a Truck Customs monster Ford F-650 build. Branded with the company's logos, the truck kind of looks like a military vehicle, but it holds a secret.
The back of the Kapoya 650 is actually a DJ booth, to pump out the jams and get people to take note. The multiple JBL kicker-box speakers are powered by massive Peavey amplifiers, so even people off in the distance can feel the beat. An insane F-650 custom build with a supersonic sound system is literally the best way to draw attention.
JBS Offshore Racing runs Class 1 speed boats fitted with naturally-aspirated 14-liter 16-cylinder engines that make a terrifying 2,200 horsepower. These are big boats that need a big hauler, so they went to Truck customs for something worthy. What they got was JB's Race Ready Ford F-650, which is so much more than a mere hauler.
The extra-extra cab custom is also a mobile command center. The truck expands like a Transformer into a race team HQ, with flat screens and coms to track the progress and performance of the speed boats. It also could be an entertainment center to get a little binge-watching in before the next heat.

The Texas Best Truck Customs Ford F-650 build could probably be described as a redneck limo, but in reality, it's more like a hillbilly party bus. With six doors and enough room to sit eight adults comfortably, this ride is all about luxury and entertainment. There are massive sub-woofers in lieu of a rear window and drop-down video screens for everyone who can fit inside.
It's not just the interior that is meant to entertain as the custom truck pops open into a dance club on wheels. The truck bed expands with video screens and speakers, so the driver can share his or her jams and clips with the world. Originally built as a SEMA vehicle, this custom job pulled out all the stops with eye-catching exterior graphics and an exotic animal hide interior.
The personalized license plate on the Truck Customs Gunsmith F-650 XLT Pickup reads "Man Toy" which is actually a bit of an understatement. The client requested almost every possible add-on taking the $79,000 base-priced Ford to a $149,715 custom super-truck. That's kind of like ordering a $5 Little Caesars Hot 'n Ready Pizza with $50 worth of extra toppings.
Now that it's been mentioned, a super pizza sounds pretty awesome and the reality is, this loaded Gunsmith 650 is amazing. There isn't enough space to list everything in this custom ride, but if can be tacked onto a Ford Truck, it has it. They say you can't put a price on happiness, but the owner of this amazing toy would disagree.

Dennis Anderson's King Sling mud truck/monster truck is a seriously mean piece of machinery and there's no reason why he should haul it around to jams and rallies with a 3.5 liter V-6 Honda Ridgeline. That's why he went to Truck Customs and got himself a badass Ford F-650 show hauler.
Bearing the name of his sponsor, Spectra Chrome, Anderson's custom truck is cable of pulling not one, but two King Slings. As he explained in the debut at Bama Jam Farms in Enterprise, Alabama, he needed, "one to shine and one to grind." While it would be hard to top the sheer awesomeness of the King Sling, the dually Spectra Chrome show hauler is a worthy companion.
Brian Anderson's love of cars started at an early age with Hot Wheels, slot-car racing, and building model kits. When he was old enough to drive, he got the fastest thing he could afford, which was 1973 Pontiac LeMans with a 350.
